Hi there!

I'm working for a wonderfull family in Cambridge but I need to leave from personal reasons in September.

Family has two children - girls aged 2 and 3. Both girls and parents are very nice and easy to get on with.

The pay is 100� per week for about 30-35h of work. Plus they are paying bills for your mobile phone. Almost no cleaning.

It is a long term position to start in September.

Seems a bit quiet here....Anyway, I have a few questions and there are someone out there who can answer me!

1. Whats the average au pair salary like in New Zealand? How much is the Minimum to expect?

I read from the http://www.newaupair.com/nanny_jobs_salary_guide.aspx, it should be around AU$250 per week for New Zealand. So, it should be about NZ$313 per week, rite? Is this correct?

2. What other benefit that I am allow to request? - health care? dental care? or ........?

i am samar,femal from Egypt, i have about 2 years searching to be an aupair anywhere but nothing, i do not have visa to any place right now becouse to have one i have to present details & address of the family i will work for,but the familys contacts me needs visa to confirm the work between us!!!

what should i do??? i need a patiant family who can give me chance to optain the visa by thier address

Hello everyone!

I am very interested in au pairing for a family and they have said the same thing. One thing they haven't mentioned is my wages. On their profile it's "negotiable"

Should they have mentioned this by now?

And is it important that I haven't actually spoken with them yet, it's all been via e-mails.

I am not suspicious of this family as they seem lovely I am just wondering if it's the normal custom
